Network Development Plan 2012
The gas transmission system operators publish their Gas Network Development Plan 2012 for the national gas transmission system
The Network Development Plan (NDP) 2012 published by the gas transmission system operators is binding as of today and includes all of the changes specified by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) in its decision of 10 December 2012 (Ref. 8615-NEP Gas 2012 – Änderungsverlangen). BNetzA had confirmed that the NDP and the measures detailed therein reflect the scale of the energy system expansions required and that it has binding legal effect insofar as it establishes the need to optimise, strengthen or expand the energy supply system in line with demand pursuant to Section 11 of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) for further regulatory procedures (c.f. page 51 of the above-mentioned BNetzA decision). The Network Development Plan is now the main instrument used to identify demand.
